Home Town Hero

Each Spring we visit various farms across the country to find the best boars in their workin' clothes to kick off our new boar lineup. Once we got to Doug Porter's and saw Home Town Hero we knew he had to come to LVS. Sired by Double Cross and out of a Man O War daughter (full sib to Space Monkey and littermate to the Ohio State Fair Champion Barrow) this boar is bred to be every bit as good as he looks. In fact Doug believes this to be the best boar he has ever raised, which is a big statement considering he raised Double Cross, Battle Cry, Rolling Stone and Powder Keg to name a few. Home Town Hero was the 2009 Kent Feeds display boar at the WPX. This STRESS NEGATIVE boar is exceptionally heavy boned, up headed, wide based, blown apart and shapely muscled. He offers the body, width and look of Double Cross with the bone and muscle shape of Man O War. He sired the Champion Open Barrow 2010 North Carolina State Fair.
